In this article you can find out how to configure OpenVPN on your iOS device using the VPN user name and password you received from us. OpenVPN is a VPN client i.e. a program that allows you to connect to a VPN server.
To configure OpenVPN on your iOS device, follow the steps below:
1. Get your VPN Username and Password
To get your InvizBox VPN username and password, follow the steps in the article here.
2. Install OpenVPN Connect on your Device
Install the OpenVPN Connect app from the App Store (here).
3. Download the VPN Configuration Files
In Safari on your device, open this page and press the vpn_configuration.zip link at the bottom. Then press "Download" to download the VPN configuration files.
Press the downloads icon in the top right corner of Safari. Then press the file to view it in your Downloads folder in the Files app.
Press the vpn_configuration.zip file in your downloads folder to unzip it. Then press the unzipped file to open it.
4. Add VPN Configurations to OpenVPN Connect
In the unzipped vpn_configurations folder downloaded in the previous step, press "Select" and press on a VPN configuration to select it.
Press the icon in the bottom left of the page to open a menu. In the menu, press "Copy to OpenVPN". This will open the OpenVPN Connect app that you installed in step 2.
Press "Add" on your VPN configuration to import it. Then press "Save Password" and enter the InvizBox VPN username and password you retrieved in step 1.
Press "Add" in the top right corner. Then press "Allow" when you are prompted to allow OpenVPN to add VPN configurations to your device.
The VPN configuration is now added to your device. Repeat these steps to add more VPN configurations to your device.
5. Manage your Device's VPN connection
Your device's VPN connection can be managed from the OpenVPN Connect app.
To enable or disable VPN from the OpenVPN app, open the app and press the toggle.
When you are connected using VPN, you will see the VPN icon in the status bar of your device.
